·         On-campus Interviews                                  By Invitation Only

Below is specific information regarding the application process for full-time, as well as internships, and co-ops and fellowships, as well as information on specific areas of concentration.

ALL :   Applicants must have US citizenship and the ability to successfully complete medical examinations and security evaluations including a polygraph interview.   Average processing time-frame is about 9-12 months.     For students/grad-fellows seeking summer internships we will process them in time for next summer 2010, to begin their work tour.
**Requirements: Must be a US Citizen and willing to relocate to the Washington, DC area.

The most major security stopper for continued processing:  All applicants must be drug free one year before applying.

Step one - all applicants (coops, interns, grad-fellows, and full-time) must apply on-line: www.cia.gov

Step two - please have a copy of your unofficial transcript(s) readily available. Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher.

Step three - complete on-line the Personal Evaluation Form (PEF) Security Prescreening

Step four   -   have a writing sample.    Topic of choice should be for the position you are applying to.
Example:   Topic of interest should be related to a current international topic (Global Economics, War on Terrorism, Narcoterrorisim, Pandemic on Aids, H1N1 Virus, International Relations-Politics, Recent release of two female journalists from North Korea, Human Trafficking, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, etc...)

Step five -   for those seeking summer internships (2010), Current Sophomores should apply on-line prior to November 1, 2009 (deadline for summer 2010 internships).

Step six - applicants are allowed to apply to four positions, but however, a good rule of thought is to apply only to two positions, because this will cause your resume to be forwarded to four different hiring advisors and will slow down your process of being considered for a position significantly.
